Fall Harvest Decorating Tips

Fall Harvest Decorating Tips

As the weather starts to get colder, we know winter is on its way. Just a few weeks ago we were out in our shorts watering and now we are raking away the color. Fall is my favorite season because it is the perfect temperature and the changing leaves are beautiful. How can we make this transition to winter smoothly but still keep a look of natural beauty? Here are some tips for decorating your home when all of your summer plants aren't looking their usual perky selves. These will help you spruce up your garden and home.

Replace- If you don't want to start from scratch, replace only some of your tired looking summer plants. If your containers need a change up just add something new to give it a new look. Add a stalk of millet grasses into the middle of your container to give it some height and bring a fall edge to it.

Redo- If you want to do a complete remake of your home come to Rhoads and head out to our Garden Center. We have so many different ideas to bring your garden from heat to harvest. We have ornamental peppers, mums, pansies, cabbage, and more!

Remake- Not only can you make your garden look great for fall, but your home can look great too! Just by adding a fall wreath you can really add some warmth to your home. If you already have a fall wreath, but just want to freshen it up, add some Indian corn. Want to jazz up your dining room? Add some gourds to your dining room table. You can cluster some corn stalks in the corner or do some pumpkin stacking on a counter.

Come on in and talk to one of our designers about updating your fall decor or a custom wreath. Talk to our gift shop girls about updating your fall wardrobe. No matter what, we have this transition covered! See you at the Garden!
